Goring Chamber Choir
Goring-on-Thames, South Oxfordshire
We sing music of every period, much of which is unaccompanied and may be in 8 parts. Innovative programme planning means that we are constantly tackling new projects.
No two years are alike as we have different kinds of concert and are always learning new music. Audiences frequently comment on our unusual repertoire. We sing Cathedral repertoire with its attendant anthems, motets, masses and canticles.
We enjoy a rich palette of Christmas carols from all periods, ages and places. We give concerts of baroque music with a professional early music orchestra. We perform madrigals, part songs, love songs, folk songs and spirituals, and take many languages in our stride as we sing music from around the world.
Occasionally we sing programmes of popular music and music theatre, we join local primary school choirs, and work with the Goring Gap Players on a dramatic project.
